Your Excellency.
There are two ways Brimble might be dealt with, Bis
salary is over £100 a year, Therefore he might be tried before
Executive Council though such a course would be unusual as be
could only be tried for an offence against discipline only, Cr
he wight be recommended to the Secretary of State for reduction
or dismissal, The Secretary of State can of course, for the
Crown, deal with any Civil Servant,

1 base my ooirion that this cen misht be tried by Executive

of the 18th August 1999,
The Police Officers whose cases era patrred to in thet

I do not think that this is a case which comes within the
Competency of the Governor in Council to deal with!
I think that the effect of Ordinance 68/1900 8 24 is to veas
the power of dismissing or reducing a member of the Police Force
solely in His Excellency the Governor upon the "representation"
of the Captain Superintendent of the Folice!
When I gave my opinion 5.9.02 1 construed "representation"
to mean"recommendation".
